We raise money for

suicide awareness events,

scholarships for HS students pursuing a college degree that will help people, and any other way to support those who struggle with mental health.

THE FUND

My family and I started the non-profit, The Kyle Rush Scholarship Fund Corporation, due to losing my little sister, Kyle, to suicide.

Kyle Rush lost her fight to her illness on April 27, 2015 at the age of 19. She was a daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many and died too young. Although she struggled for many years, she embraced the world for all that it was with a passion unmatched by most. She achieved many great things in her short time here on Earth. She graduated from Wakefield High School in 2013. While there she was a co-founder of the WHS Varsity Girls Vollyball Team, a member of WHS Colorguard, WHS JV ice hockey team, WHS Sign Language club, WHS Social Awareness club, as well as a member of the Wakefield White Sox. After Highschool, Kyle obtained a Phlebotomy Technician Certificate and hoped to start work in the medical field to help others. For those that knew her, she was a someone with a big heart, open mind, and in true Rush form was never shy about speaking her mind.

We use the funds donated for various things. First, we have set up a permanent scholarship at Wakefield High School for a student that will be pursuing a College degree in a field that will help others. Next, we give out smaller scholarships each year for similar students looking to help others. Additionally, we use the funds to hold athletic and community events to raise suicide awareness. Lastly, we use funds to help families who have been affected by suicide.
